Head Coach AAA U15 Flames

Roger currently resides in Airdrie but played all his minor hockey in Calgary from Tim Bits to Midget AAA. Due to injuries and other life goals, Roger hung up his equipment after Midget AAA and immediately got into coaching. 

He has completed his High Performance Level and is about to enter and complete the skills specialty in the Instructional stream.  Roger was also the head coach of Team Yukon for the 2019 Canada Winter Games.  

He is an information junkie that seeks out as much information about hockey and developing athletes as he can find. 

Roger is a very dedicated and passionate coach who brings over 15 years of high-performance coaching experience at the Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget levels. He takes great pride in providing the players a positive personal development experience focusing on hard work, integrity, positive team interactions, and development of an enhanced personal skill set. His past coaching and over 25 years of management have provided Roger with extensive experience in motivating players and building a positive team atmosphere.

Glenn lives in Airdrie and grew up playing Hockey just outside of Calgary and in Calgary, B.C. and in the United States. He completed his education at the University of Calgary. 

He is continually seeking out new ways to effectively coach and teach players. 

He comes to the Wave with coaching and scouting experience that spans over 37 years, He has coached and scouted at many levels of elite Hockey from Pee Wee to Midget AAA and Junior A. 

Glenn believes strongly that every athlete can develop. Can turn skills into habits. 

His mission is always to provide a positive and safe learning environment for all athletes to develop. To help athletes get to that next level.

All players can develop if given the chance. They just need to be taught with patience and understanding.

Wave Athletics is happy to welcome Scott Binner and Binner Supreme Hockey into the fold. We have combined expertise to add another great piece to all our programs.

Scott grew up playing Hockey at high levels in Saskatchewan where like all us prairie boys he developed a love for the game.

Scott comes to us with over 25 years of coaching and training experience. Developing players at a variety of levels. His passion for the game and desire to see kids succeed is very obvious.

We have forgiven him for being a Habs fan despite our better Judgement.

Ryan Russell (aka Jacob Ardown)
Born and raised in Airdrie, and played his entire hockey career here. From Timbits to aging out in Junior with the Airdrie Thunder. After he finished playing he stuck around with the Junior squad to help coach and later returned to coach minor hockey with Roger and Glenn. Ryan is a Defence Specialist and has an uncanny amount of passion for hockey. He takes pride in helping athletes reach their goals and loves to see and support others in all their successes.
Ryan also brings with him his other personality of Jacob Ardown from On The Bench. No need to worry though, the advice that Jacob has to offer doesn’t get to see the ice times, very often. It’s a unique combination to have in a coach. The athletes have an opportunity to learn and expand their skill sets, as well as find the fun side of the game and ensure that the fire stays ignited for the game.

 Like most Canadians, Paul fell in love with the game of hockey at a very young age. He played  hockey throughout his childhood but moved on to pursue his other passion of rodeo at a very early age.

Wave Athletics has three main principles. The first is to continue to develop skill and improve throughout the years. The second is to increase their love if the game and third is to have fun doing it. We achieve this through strategic goal setting and subsequent action plans throughout the season, players engagement and providing a positive player environment.

Robyn Bagley certified as an Athletic Therapist with the CATA and AATA in 2000. 

She is also a Reiki Master with the CRA (2019).

She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach – CSCS (2020). 

She has a Bachelor of Kinesiology (1997) and a Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education (2014).
